Mark Rubenstein is, at various hours, a Creative Director, a designer, an artist and a musician. He lives, at all hours, in New York City.

Inspired by German and Austrian modernism of the early Twentieth Century -- Expressionism, Dada, Constructivism, Bauhaus and New Objectivity -- as well as Russian Constructivism and Productivism, Mark’s artwork exists in its own place, on its own terms, and has never exhibited, sold, or scooped up awards. L’art pour l’art. Kunst für die Kunst. Art for art’s sake.

For Mark, the appeal of collage is the unification of the ragtag, the repurposing of the random, the thievery and reinvention. As Jean-Luc Godard famously put it, “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to.”
